See Why We Never Mess with a Racoon and His Candy

Feeding wild racoons dangers

Racoons are adorable to watch and a disaster to live with, once they figure out how to open your trash can. Yet, many of us are happy to feed these adorable bandits, especially if mom brings her troop of babies (kits) along for the snack attack. Here we have a racoon that found the Halloween candy stash – so good, until a Creepy Clown butted in…(Scroll down to see video of the Creepy Clown assault).

Creepy Clown Gets His Just Deserts (Sorry, Not Sorry Candy Man)

What Was the Big Idea Here to Begin With?

Someone sets up a camera with a bowl of candy and a menacing clown, with a motion-activated device installed in him. Were they hoping to terrify children as they reached for a handful of candy? Probably. What they got instead was comedy gold. Here we have a racoon that decides whether to attack with the same speed of decision making as a pitbull. Bamm – the clown is out for the count. Sadly, the racoon appears to have lost out on his munchies.

Final Thoughts on Racoons and Their Candy

Obviously, candy is not a healthy treat for racoons. Grapes, unsalted nuts and other fruits and vegetables are a good source of nutrition for them. Also, high end dog food in small quantities can help them tide over in winter months. They enjoy insects too, however, we don’t expect you to serve up fresh insect al fresco on your back deck.

Regarding Creepy Clowns and Racoons

I vote for more racoons to take out creepy clowns. What say you? Let us know in the comments, how you feel about clowns, and how you feel about racoons. One is cute and one is gross, which is it?
